Prince Harry and Elton John believe their phones have been tapped and personal information stolen... and now they're teaming up to sue a major media outlet they believe is behind it all, although the company flatly denies the claims.

The Duke and British rock star are among a group of plaintiffs who are taking Associated Newspapers to court, claiming the company behind the Daily Mail and other publications has hired investigators to install devices bugging people's homes and cars and paid the police to dig up sensitive information.

The group also allegedly accuses the Daily Mail publisher of exploiting phone conversations, impersonating hospital staff to access medical information, and even gaining access to bank accounts and finances by illicit means and manipulations.

The company has denied the allegations, a spokesperson told us: "We totally and unambiguously refute these nonsensical defamations which appear to be nothing more than a pre-planned and orchestrated attempt to drag the headlines of the Mail in the phone-hacking scandal over articles. up to 30 years."

"These unsubstantiated and highly defamatory allegations - based on no credible evidence - appear to be simply a game of fishing for plaintiffs and their attorneys, some of whom have already filed lawsuits elsewhere."

Others involved in the lawsuit are... Elton John's husband and producer David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost and Baroness Doreen Lawrence, mother of a black British teenager who was infamously murdered .
