Rae Sremmurd Slim Jxmmi arrested at LAX over Georgia drug case

Slim Jxmmi, one half of the rap duo Rae Sremmurd, was not made very welcome at home when he landed in Los Angeles... after authorities discovered there was a search warrant. judgment against him.

LAX law enforcement sources told TMZ that when Slim flew in from Canada on Sunday, Customs and Border Patrol agents arrested him. We're told Slim had a warrant out of Georgia from an earlier arrest involving possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

We are told that Georgia authorities have already asked a judge to authorize the extradition from L.A. to Georgia. He is currently being held in L.A. without bond. Much is at stake... the maximum sentence in the Georgia case is 30 years in prison.

That's not the only legal issue he's facing... TMZ broke the story, Slim Jxmmi was arrested in January for assault and battery after an alleged fight with his girlfriend.

We spoke with him in March after a workout at Dogpound Gym in West Hollywood, and he told us he was looking forward to making positive changes in his life and, "No more stupid bullshit ."

Jxmmi's attorney, Steve Sadow, explains that it all happened because of miscommunication: "Nearly two years ago, Aaquil pleaded for a marijuana-related offense in the county of Cobb, Ga. He was placed on probation.In early June 2022, the mother of his child filed a false complaint with the Cobb County Police Department, which led to the issuance of a warrant stop."
