Ruger, Buju come for each other in a new battle

There is currently no love lost between two of Nigerian hip-hop music stars, Buju and his counterpart, Ruger, as they both engaged in what seemed like a battle for supremacy on social media platforms in the early hours of Friday, Ruger shooting the first shot, saying he's better than Buju.

Ruger allegedly engaged his fans in a question and answer session, prompting one of his fans to ask him why he never agreed that Buju, who is currently in Europe on his tour, was better than him in terms of music delivery and acceptance.

The question seems to have angered Ruger as he was quick to drill into the narrative, stating that while he has nothing against Buju or his craft, it was wrong for anyone to compare him to the singer "Sorry I 'm Late" as he is a better singer than him.

Ruger admitted that Buju is good but not better than him because all he did since the beginning of his career was only Ruger which literally means he only performs his songs during shows against Buju who could not brag about it.

According to Ruger "I love Buju; he's good but he's not better than me. Everything I did from the start was just RUGER. All my hits are JUST RUGER. I'm still proud to go on stage all over the world with my own hits and everyone singing. You see the difference?"

Reacting to Ruger's claim, Buju warned Ruger, saying he should learn to respect him in every way as he has more hit songs than him, adding that it is true that he is one of the most featured artists in the industry right now with hit songs under his belt, he's never paid anyone to dance or listen to his songs like Ruger does.

"Sorry I'm Late" is still on top of two of your music projects on Apple Music. You must have dropped the luxury for one and you think you've got something for me? You owe some money to your boss and you talk to a boss.

"I never claimed a feature because even the legends you respect put me and my music above yours. Don't hate the player, hate the game," he said. added.
