England's last Test against South Africa was washed away on day one due to rain before day two was called as a sign of respect to Queen Elizabeth II.

On the third day, a minute of silence was observed before the national anthems, with God Save the King followed by loud applause from the crowd at The Oval.

Players also stood in silence before the national anthem to be played in Chester-le-Street which sta captained the Women's Twenty20 international between England and India.
