Seplat Energy 2022 quiz competition reaches 50,000 students in Edo, Delta

The 2022 edition of the Seplat Energy quiz competition among public and private secondary schools in Edo and Delta States has come to a colorful end with the winning school walking away with the star prize of N10 million .

The competition, which is an annual event and organized by Seplat Energy and its partner, the NNPC, in both states of its operations, saw more than 50,000 beneficiaries.

The 2022 edition of the competition, held at Imaguero Secondary School, Benin City, Edo State, was won by Green Park Academy, Benin, Edo State, which beat out High School Deeper Life, Warri, Delta State, for the first position to win a cash prize of N10 million.

The money, Seplat Energy said, would be used by the school for any project it chooses and at its discretion.

In addition to the star prize, the three students, who represented the school in the grand final, were awarded a cash prize of N100,000 each.

Deeper Life High School, Warri, which came second, won N5 million, with its three student representatives awarded a cash prize of N75,000 each.

For third place, University of Benin Demonstration Secondary School, Benin City, Edo State, which beat International Secondary School, Sapele, Delta State, won a sponsored project from 3 million naira, with 50,000 naira in cash for each of the three student participants.

In his speech at the competition, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Seplat Energy, Mr. Samson Ezegwuorie, said that the Seplat Energy Pearls Quiz competition has reached more than 50,000 students in Edo States et du Delta, adding that of this number, many had followed a university education, some of them having come to do their internship at Seplat Energy.
