Sustainable solutions to underdevelopment

The current situation in Nigeria demands serious intellectual commitment because any progress made or contemplated will depend on intellectual sophistication. Therefore, one wonders why there is dubious intellectual silence and pretense everywhere as professors and other intellectuals expect politicians to perform the miracle of solving problems without any established knowledge or research.

We are faced with the question of how to attract a large number of inventors, innovators and creative thinkers, because many basic solutions go unnoticed or are overlooked. More so, particular situations such as those in Nigeria require quite original creative thinking. A challenge is therefore urgent to bring these inventions and innovations into the public domain.

At the forefront of this challenge is a recently completed 40-year multidisciplinary research study on the sustainable development of the grassroots population. From 1981 to 2021, two frontline scholars at the University of Lagos: Professor Isaac Ayinde Adalemo, Emeritus Professor of Geography/former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos; and Professor Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, Emeritus Professor of Engineering System / Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos / Founding Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Ebonyi State (both now of blessed memories ), framed a multidisciplinary research study to rethink a new concept of grassroots sustainable development. This writer has the unique privilege of being mentored by the two distinguished professors over the past 40 years in this great endeavor and also becoming a co-founder of the Development & Empowerment Society International with them.

Out-of-the-box creative thinking can be summed up by saying that planet Earth with its humanity is an integral part of a self-organizing, self-sufficient, and growing universe. It is a set of system sustainability laws to organize the entire universal system, incorporating countless trillions of stars and planets for automatic sustainability and systemic prosperity. This implies that the same laws of system sustainability must be clearly discerned, adapted and reproduced in order to usher in an era of automatic sustainability and systemic prosperity in the human situation.

Creative thought out of the box also summarizes that adapting and replicating the universal model would systematically demystify money and redesign the monetary system to make money the servant of creation and protection of real wealth. Adaptation would also systematically make speculation unprofitable and limit the growth of financial bubbles, boost cooperation and integration between people and communities; rewarding productive work; create a fair distribution of rights to real wealth; providing incentives for patient and locally anchored investment in real estate assets; and strengthen the social fabric of family and community.

Great research conducted under the umbrella of the Afronomics Institute/DESI invented the Automatically Sustainable Community - which introduces a universal sustainable investment scheme that would self-fund the creation of AUTOSUCOM, its infrastructure and the total number of jobs for community members. The significance of AUTOSUCOM's invention is that it is capable of creating at least 2 million new jobs in each of Nigeria's 36 states, or 72 million new jobs fully funded by a multi-tier sustainable investment fund. trillions of dollars created by the invention itself. .

In discussing this great invention, it is necessary to call attention to the strange fact that there is still an unidentified cause of underdevelopment. This strange fact is that the underdevelopment of the base population is directly correlated with the lack of a specialized field of knowledge to achieve lasting greatness and power; and that the great and mighty men and women of this world have been unable to achieve enduring greatness and power as ordained in universal space.

Time and time again it has been said that the imperialists destroyed the traditional economic systems of the third world and replaced them with a system of production that produced good for the consumption of the imperialists. Therefore, underdevelopment is usually explained as an ongoing relationship of exploitation where the entire economic surplus is not available for reinvestment at any level of the chain that could benefit the exploited. The imperialists used predatory socio-economic and political philosophies to achieve greatness and power based on the existing knowledge to achieve it. But the hitherto unknown truth is that predation or oppression has the element of a breaking point, which causes a reversal of greatness or power achieved, as evidenced by the rise and fall of. ..
