Taylor Swift's New Album 'Midnights' Is Coming This October - Here's What We Know

We need to calm down, but we just can't! Just under an hour after winning Video of the Year at the 2022 MTV VMAs, Taylor Swift has made fan dreams come true and confirmed more details about her upcoming new album. She had already teased the existence of the album during her second VMAs acceptance speech (Swift also won Best Long Form Video earlier in the evening on Sunday) and announced to the crowd in Newark, NJ, that would be released on October 21. /p>

In an Instagram post at midnight on August 29, Swift revealed the album's title: "Midnights", alongside the cover: a photo of the singer with blue eyes and holding a lighter. "'Midnights', the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be released on October 21. Meet me at midnight," she wrote in the caption.

A second slide features an image of Swift with her head in her hand and includes the text: "We lie awake in love and in fear, in restlessness and in tears. We look at the walls and drink until 'to what they answer. We turn around in our self-made cages and pray that we are not about to make a fatal mistake that will change your life. This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams... The floors we walk and the demons we face For all of us who tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that maybe, when the clock strikes noon… we will find each other.”

On September 16, Swift confirmed that she was teaming up with producer Jack Antonoff again for the album. "The making of Midnights
