Tesco is offering free meals for children with any purchase in its cafe-supermarkets during the summer school holidays to help families struggling with the cost of living crisis.

The free meal, worth up to £3.25, is available to Club Card holders with any item purchased at the retailer's 311 cafes between July 25 and August 26.

Asda and Morrisons have already announced meal deals to support parents during the summer holidays.

The cheapest item shoppers can buy to qualify for Tesco's special offer is a piece of fruit for 60p. Other low cost menu items include a bottle of water for 85p, biscuits for £1, baked goods for £2 and breakfast tea for £1.80.
