Tommy Hilfiger returns to New York with a diverse parade inspired by Warhol

Tommy Hilfiger brought his $9.3 billion brand back to New York for the first time in three years with an Andy Warhol-inspired fall show that also managed to be one of the most diverse of fashion week.

Plus-size model of the moment Paloma Elsesser and Native American model and activist Quannah Chasinghorse shared a paper-covered catwalk tinsel at Brooklyn's Skyline Drive-In, alongside actress Julia Fox, former editor of Interview magazine founded by Warhol, Bob Colacello and about 20 unknown faces from the streets. spacefinder-type="model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.ImageBlockElement" class="dcr-10khgmf">Paloma Elsesser

As always with Tommy Hilfiger, the Sunday evening parade was as much about the atmosphere as it was about the fashion. Silver balloons reminiscent of Warhol's 1966 work Silver Clouds decorated the stage, Hilfiger-branded water canisters were handed out, and Lady Bunny, another Warholian muse, performed tunes by Donna Summer.

The audience included Kate Moss, two Kardashians and musician Travis Barker, who then stormed the stage in a Hilfiger puffer jacket. Everyone watching was wearing a poncho. Miraculously, none of the 80 models fell in the pouring rain.
