Trey Songz denies beating woman in NYC, police report filed
Trey Songz is on police radar in New York after a woman claimed to have brutalized him last month - a claim he calls BS... TMZ has learned.
NYPD sources tell us the alleged victim filed a report in late October claiming Trey punched her in the face multiple times while she was in a bowling alley restroom. We're told she also alleges that TS dragged her by the hair...and that she was taken to the hospital for what cops noted as minor visible injuries.
Our sources say that the woman is an employee of this establishment, but it is not known what could have precipitated this. There isn't much context beyond his account...although, according to our sources, the woman recognized Trey and identified him by name to police after the fact.
Anyway... we're told there's now an active case for this, and the cops are interested in talking to Trey at the very least. That's certainly not the biggest news for him, given the other accusations he's been leveled with in recent years. An NYPD spokesperson confirms to TMZ that the investigation into this matter is ongoing.
As we reported... Trey was recently sued for rape, but the case was dismissed due to a statute of limitations. There have been other instances of alleged sexual impropriety attributed to the singer as well, all of which he has denied and referred to as a shakedown.
