The FRSC boss noted that the weather was foggy and the number of passengers in the vehicle was two, just as more than 70 passengers were involved in the crash.

However, he declined to mention the names of the victims when questioned by our reporter in Minna on Saturday.

He said: "One died on Friday while another died on Saturday, two people and 48 people were evacuated from the vehicle by the team involved in the rescue operation".

He added that the corpses of the two deceased persons have been deposited at the mortuary section of the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Bida.

Further checks revealed that the trailer had stopped at Bida while traveling from somewhere to Katsina and added more passengers to the trailer which was already loaded with several heads of cattle and passengers heading to Ilorin in Kwara.
