UNIABUJA VC, Onwueme, others shortlisted for ANA Scholarship

The Nigerian Authors Association has released the list of 2,022 scholarship applicants, including the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na'Alla, Professor Tess Onwueme and others notable teachers who have contributed to the growth of Literature in Nigeria.

In a statement signed to the National Secretariat by the association's Secretary General, Maik Ortserga, the ANA said it was delighted to count on the enormous investment, participation and outstanding contributions of shortlisted teachers to the growth of literature over the years.

The statement reads in part: "We are hereby delighted to release the list of ANA Fellowship applicants for 2022.

"We published the list after thorough evaluation by a committee created for this purpose. The names are as follows:

"1. Prof. Abdul Rasheed Na'Alla2. Prof. Anaezi Okoro3. Prof. Moses Tsenongo4. Prof. Razinat Mohammed5. Prof. Udenta O Udenta6. Eng. Emmanuel Frank-Opigo7. Dr Emmanuel CS Ojukwu(CP Rtd.)8. Dr. John Asien9. Miasonima Minima10. Prof. Nduka Otiono11. Prof. Vicky Sylvester12. Lindsay Barret13. Professor Tess Onwueme14. Prof. Yusuf Adamu15. Dr. Tony Marinho16. Prof. Mark Nwagwu17.Prof. Dr. Zainab T. Ahmed3 Engineer Abubakar Maigandi.”

ANA, further stated that the association hopes candidates will accept their nominations in good faith while rendering selfless service which was the basis for the scholarship nomination.
