Why I want to get into politics – Adekunle BBNaija

Adekunle Olopade, former roommate of BBnaija Level Up, says he has his eyes set on politics.

The reality TV star revealed this in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES during the BBNaija award ceremony in Lagos.

The 27-year-old digital marketing consultant explained that his passion is drawn from the current situation with the Nigerian government.

He said: "My interest in politics grew in 2019 after the last election. I was hopeful and looking forward to a lot of changes and then over the years nothing changed. happened in ways many of us did not expect."

He explained that he conducts some form of outreach on political issues.

"Before coming to Big Brother, I used to drop public opinions on my Instagram page and talk about how some of the issues we were facing in the country could be solved."< /p>

The Lagos State native also said he doesn't mind starting from the grassroots, even if it means being a follower and not a leader.

He said, "If you say you want to get into politics and you don't have any experience, and you dive into it, you might make mistakes. I don't mind learning everything It would be nice to understand what it's like to be in a follower position, and that's the only way to exercise leadership."

Adekunle, who studied accounting at Redeemers University, emphasized his belief in good governance in Nigeria.

"I'm only speaking from an outsider's perspective. I believe that if this is something that we want to make happen and we apply ourselves, then I believe good governance will happen in Nigeria.

"I think Nigeria is still quite a young country; the change we want will happen eventually, but not immediately, because it took Nigeria a while to get here. We may not start the process now, but we can start the conversation now, and I think that would be positive conservation."
