Work with the best brains - Archbishop tells Tinubu
The Archbishop of Ondo Province, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Reverend Simeon Borokini has called on President Bola Tinubu to get on with the job of leading the country quickly. He also urged him to select people with unwavering integrity and a deep reverence for God to serve in his cabinet.
While highlighting the many challenges currently facing the country, the cleric stressed the importance of having people of impeccable character working alongside the President.
Borokini stressed that only in this way can the country effectively overcome its current difficulties.
The bishop gave the counsel during the episcopal office of 2023, pronounced during the second session of the 14th synod of the Church, which was held in Oba Ile, in the local government area of Akure North in Ondo State.
Reverend Borokini said: "We rejoice with him (Tinubu) that his dream and ambition to lead this country has come true. However, we urge him to keep the campaign promises he made to the Nigerians and to stand firm in delivering on these promises for the good of our nation.
"He should settle down quickly and muster the best brains we have in the country to put an end to the various problems and challenges facing the country."
