Transfer: Two reasons why Salah will not go to Saudi Arabia – Carragher

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has said he does not see Mohamed Salah leaving the Premier League in the final week of the window despite late interest from Al Ittihad.

Salah is the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Carragher previously saying only a bid above £150m could tempt Liverpool.

But the Sky Sports expert believes the short time needed to reinvest in the squad means a move away from Anfield is unlikely.

"I don't think Mo Salah will leave. First, because it's so late in the window. And I don't necessarily think Mo Salah will want to go.

“I think Salah will be a bit like Ronaldo, I see him playing until his thirties. He will think he still has three or four years left [at the highest level]. He has two years left on his contract with Liverpool, I don't know if he will stay beyond that," Carragher said.
