Nicki Minaj's Husband Kenneth Petty Sentenced to 1 Year at Home but No Jail

Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, will be serving time for not registering as a sex offender in California, but much to the dismay of federal authorities, he will be serving that time at the mansion where he and Nicki live.

A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced the 44-year-old to 1 year house arrest, 3 years probation and a $55,000 fine. Petty pleaded guilty in September 2021.

TMZ broke the story... prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's Office had argued that house arrest would not be punishment because Nicki and Kenneth live in a luxurious, multi-bedroom mansion in a gated community of Calabasas.

They had recommended that Petty be sentenced to 15 months in prison and 5 years probation, but the judge clearly disagreed with him receiving such a harsh sentence.

Petty was convicted of rape in 1994 in New York, where he served more than 4 years in prison. When he moved to Cali with Nicki, he didn't put himself on the sex offender list and that's when the feds arrested him.

Well, Nicki knows exactly where her husband will be next year. No need for a babysitter anymore.
