Nicola Bulley: Superintendent Provides Update

Police have responded to allegations of foul play in the disappearance of Nicola Bulley as the mystery of the missing dog walker deepens.

The disappearance of the mum-of-two has sparked a massive investigation centered on the River Wyre in Lancashire.

Nicola, 45, from Inskip, was last seen walking her dog by the river at around 9.20am on Friday January 27, after dropping her two daughters off at St Michaels school on Wyre.

Superintendent Sally Riley told a press briefing this afternoon that investigators had received thousands of responses to the case and were reviewing 500 pieces of information.

She added that 14 detectives work under a senior investigation officer, while six specialist officers search the river bank every day.

Superintendent Riley said police were also identifying 700 vehicles that were passing through the area at the time of Nicola's disappearance.

This comes as Lancashire Police this week called on underwater forensics firm Specialist Group International (SGI) to launch a high-tech sonar tracking system in the water.

SGI Founder and CEO Peter Faulding suggested he didn't believe Nicola was in the river and that a potential third party was involved.

When asked about Mr. Faulding's comments, Superintendent Riley said, "I thank SGI for the assistance they have given the team.
