The Pokémon Company says it plans to investigate claims against online multiplayer sensation Palworld.

Fans pointed out similarities after the new title exploded in popularity this week.

< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10">In its first statement since, the Pokémon Company said it would take "appropriate action" if it found that its copyright had been violated.

The boss of Palworld creator Pocketpair said the game had passed legal checks before release.

Palworld quickly gained the nickname "Pokémon with guns" when it was released. The first trailer was revealed in 2021.

Like the popular Nintendo franchise, it also focuses on collecting dozens of strange creatures with different abilities .

And it was the designs of Palworld's companions that sparked accusations of copying that resurfaced after its extraordinary...
