Pep agrees with Klopp on Boehly's All-Star idea; hails Man City star Haaland as 'perfect person'

Pep Guardiola says Erling Haaland is the 'perfect person' after the Man City striker won the Premier League Player of the Month award.

The Norway international has scored 13 goals in nine appearances in all competitions since joining the Citizens from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

He was awarded the Premier League Player of the Month award today after scoring ten league goals in just six appearances this season.

Five Prem summer signings made for a total of £66m that currently look a little wasteful

And Guardiola praised the Man City striker for being a 'nice guy' off the pitch as well, the Spaniard saying in a pre-match press conference: the age he is, his ambition, he wants to improve. A perfect person, a nice guy. He already had the quality."

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly suggested earlier this week that the Premier League should stage a North vs South All-Star game to help fund the rest of the English football league pyramid.

When asked for his thoughts, Guardiola added: "I don't have an opinion. No no. I don't have an opinion. I agree with Jurgen [Klopp ].If they give me the dates when it should be played, that would be nice…”

It was mostly good news on the injury front ahead of their game against Wolves tomorrow lunchtime, the Man City boss continued: "Aymeric (Laporte) is back in training but not ready Kyle (Walker) is better but I don't know if he will be ready tomorrow.

"We'll see in practice this afternoon this afternoon. (On Kalvin Phillips) [He's] a little better."

On what to expect from Wolves, Guardiola said: "A completely different team depending on the season. They were playing 5 at the back now with Coady now at four. I'm really impressed with the way they play, unpredictable.

"They have many, many very good things. Centre-backs, attacking away, inside, a lot of talent with Neves, Guedes, Moutinho, all of them. They are competitors. the toughest we faced last season and tomorrow will be no exception. We have to be prepared. We have to prepare ourselves mentally."

Man City played out a 2-1 win over Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night and now they face Wolves with just two days between the two games.

On the speed of execution, Guardiola added: "It is what it is, we have to adapt. All the teams play at 12:30 sometimes we are no exception. They have a lot of quality, I respect wolves for what they have done in the past, to make us suffer."
