An enemy of Vladimir Putin was "forcibly injected" twice with an unknown drug that left "no memory for three days".

Russian journalist Maria Ponomarenko, 44, claims she was twice cornered by male guards and drugged after being locked up in a grim Siberian clinical psychiatric hospital - because she opposes the war of Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.

The mother-of-two is facing a criminal investigation for her posts about the war in Ukraine, including: "It is impossible to remain silent, knowing that thousands of innocent people have died" and said: "Sensible people are for peace".

She is accused, under draconian new Soviet-style laws, of spreading "false" information regarding Putin's military and "special military operation" in Ukraine, including the theater headquarters in Mariupol.< /p>

Maria was ordered to undergo a psychiatric "evaluation" at a secure facility.

Here she claims she was cornered twice by male guards and injected with an unknown substance, after which he remembered nothing for three days.

“I asked for personal clothes, cutlery, sanitary napkins and basic toiletries,” she said.

"I was then forcibly injected with an unknown substance.

"It was supposed to calm me down, and the result is that I don't remember three days of my life at all."

She said, "Thank goodness a friend managed to reach the walls of my clinic just as I was doing my 15 minute power walk.
