There were wins for South East too Stars, Southern Vipers and Thunder.

The Diamonds' victory maintained their own perfect competitive start, but the record was in serious jeopardy as they slipped to 142-6 in response to the hosts' 199.

But Gunn found just enough support from the lower order, hitting four boundaries in a 77-ball inning to see his team go home house.

The Vipers top of the standings also had four wins in four games, but were pushed hard by the winless Sunrisers at the Ageas Bowl.

The Stars were the afternoon's most comfortable winners with a 36-point victory over Western Storm at Cheltenham College, in a meeting of the teams sitting third and fourth in the table .

Chloe Brewer blocked 61 of 53 balls, Rhianna Southby 54 of 52 and captain Alice Davidson-Richards also reached 50 as the stars established a total of 283-8.

Davidson-Richards went on to took 4-33 as the Stars closed out the game well, despite 95 from home captain Sophie Luff, as Storm was knocked out for 247 with two overs remaining.

A rain delay meant the game was reduced to 48 overs per side at Old Trafford, as the home side won their first game of the campaign beating Central Sparks by 28 runs.
