A Thai restaurant has hit back at a disgruntled customer saying he is no longer welcome after a series of complaints.

The disgruntled customer's last review said he had "spent thousands" at the Golden Elephant over the years, where "things weren't always satisfactory".

But while their previous complaints were "minor", it wasn't until a few weeks ago that they expressed their fury about their dining experience.

They expressed their disappointment after ordering a dish they knew they would like and which arrived "so loaded with salt" that they couldn't eat it, reports Cork Beo.

The Thai spot, in Douglas, Ireland, responded to the complainant saying 'you have too many complaints', adding that they had 'refused' to serve them in the past.

Meanwhile, the restaurant also added that he contacted the restaurant, but his phone was dead, meaning he missed three calls and a text message.

"I called the missed call number because at the time I didn't know who it was," they said.

"It was the owner who asked me if I mixed chili paste with the dish. I didn't and told him the paste was good, it was the dish .

"I explained that it was way too salty. He disputed that and said I had complained before.

"I said I don't think I've ever asked for a refund. Basically he told me I was wrong. He said the chef made it ahead of time and that he would have tasted it.
