Riba Stirling Prize: London care home wins top architecture prize

The John Morden Centre, a daycare center for London retirees, has won the Kingdom's top architecture prize -United.

The Blackheath building has been praised by the Royal Institute of British Architects Stirling Prize 2023 jury for its use of sustainable materials.

Designed by Mæ, Riba judges said it was an example of how to “raise the bar for quality in social healthcare”.

He beat five competitors, including A House for Artists and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Warwick.
