Robert Downey Jr. says Cillian Murphy's 'sacrifice' for 'Oppenheimer' was something he's never seen in his career
Cillian Murphy's Oppenheimer co-star Robert Downey Jr. congratulates him on his performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer.
"I have never witnessed a greater sacrifice from a lead actor in my career," actor Ally McBeal said of his co-star in the Christopher Nolan-directed film.
Downey Jr. added, “He knew it was going to be a gigantic question when Chris called him. But I think he also had the humility to survive playing a role like this. We were like, 'Hey, we have a three-day weekend. We might go shopping in Santa Fe. What are you going to do?’ ‘Oh, I have to learn 30,000 words of Dutch. Have a good time. "But that's the nature of the request."
