Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visits troops in Ukraine

Russian troops have been ordered to step up 'shock and awe' attacks in Ukraine, it has been claimed.

The country's defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, has reportedly given the signal to "significantly increase the bombardment" in the war-torn country.

He claimed this was necessary to "exclude the possibility of the Kyiv regime inflicting massive rocket and artillery fire on civilian infrastructure and residents of Donbass and other regions", according to reports to Moscow.

This followed a field inspection by the loyalist defense minister of the Russian war effort and a meeting of the National Security Council led by Vladimir Putin.

Shoigu "gave instructions to further intensify the actions of [military] groups in all operational areas."

It was unclear whether the minister's talks with military leaders were taking place in Russia or occupied Ukraine.

The disturbing threat to Ukraine came as more details emerged of the tragic victims of this week's sickening Russian strike on the town of Vinnytsia, where the death toll now stands at 24.

The footage shows a seven-year-old boy whose remains could only be recognized by his DNA after he was hit by a Russian missile on his way to a doctor's appointment in Vinnytsia.< /p>

Maxim Zharyi died along with his mother Victoria Rekuta, 35, a trained dentist, in this week's shocking attack on a city center hundreds of miles from the front line.
