Schoolgirl, 12, stabbed to death 'with a nail file by two classmates lined up on a boy'

Police are still investigating the reason for the heinous crime, but it is believed they may have stabbed Luise F 32 times over a dispute over a boy or because she had told a teacher at their school near Freudenberg in Germany that they were bullying her

The 12-year-old German girl who was massacred by her friends last week was stabbed repeatedly with a nail file after they lured her into the woods over an argument over a boy , it was claimed.

The youngster - identified only as Luise F. by German prosecutors - was stabbed 32 times before being left for dead in a forest near Freudenberg.

While a specific motive has yet to be revealed, it has been reported that it could be due to a quarrel over a boy, or as a result of one of the girls mocking the family of the abusers.

When Luise failed to return home after visiting one of the suspects on March 11, her parents reported her missing and an extensive search operation was launched.

Drones, dead dogs and a helicopter scoured the area to find the girl's body, which was eventually discovered dumped near a bike path in a patch of forest.

The two suspects, aged 12 and 13 and attending the same school as Luise, confessed to the murder after her body was found.

Koblenz prosecutor Mario Mannweiler explained: "This is of course a very unusual and shocking act, even for us."

It took an additional search by the cops to find the murder weapon, which they believe was a nail file that had been thrust into Luise's body 32 times.
