Selena Gomez Says 'Only Murders in the Building' Season 3 Is Over: 'An Absolute Dream'

Season 3 of 'Only Murders in the Building' is in the books, and star Selena Gomez says it's just as "wacky and funny" as its predecessors. Gomez shared an Instagram photo with new castmate Meryl Streep on April 20, writing alongside the image, "Well we've finished season 3 of @onlymurdershulu - not sure I have enough words for explain how beautiful this season has been."< /p>

"It's been hilarious, hilarious, empowering and for me, an absolute dream come true," Gomez added. "I'll post more soon. But I'll leave that to the woman I adore, admire and love." Gomez also shared her post to her Instagram Story, adding, "It's over."

The previous update Gomez gave fans on the beloved streaming series' third season was March 21. She posted two photos of herself wearing a wedding dress, white gloves and combat boots while filming. Alongside the images, Gomez cryptically wrote, "I don't have a caption. Just a normal day at work. @onlymurdershulu."

Co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short also appeared in footage with Gomez in a wedding dress, with Martin writing on Twitter, "Guess what just happened!" Later, paparazzi photos of the trio filming in their ensembles were released.

Gomez shared more clues about the mystery series during filming. Back on January 17, she posted a TikTok video featuring her co-stars Martin and Short as well as a very familiar face: none other than Streep. Returning guest stars Paul Rudd and Andrea Martin also appear in the video. "We're on set!" Gomez said. "The gang is back!" She then moves on to Rudd, and finally to Streep, who kindly asks if anyone needs anything.

Shortly after Gomez shared his video, Martin followed suit by posting a Twitter photo of himself, Streep, Rudd, Short and Gomez together. "Filming for Season 3 of 'Only Murders in the Building' has begun!" he wrote. "A dream cast."

One of the most exciting updates yet came on March 12, however, when Hulu released a short trailer revealing a clue about Streep's character, who appears during a playback of table for what is presumably for one of Oliver's productions. “Oh my God, it's me! Streep laughs when it's his turn to speak. "Oh, I'm sorry. That's me, right?"

Streep isn't the only new addition to "Only Murders in the Building." "Emily in Paris" star Ashley Park has also joined the series for the third season, Deadline announced on Feb. 23. She stars in a recurring role for a character named Kimber, a Broadway ingenue. Additionally, in October 2022, Deadline reported that Jesse Williams is now also part of the "Murders" gang.
