Silvia Tcherassi Pre-Fall 2023

On Tuesday evening during Art Basel, mother-daughter duo Silvia Tcherassi and Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi made their debut - fall collection in catwalk style in an atrium at the newly refurbished Mayfair House Hotel and Garden.

"Coconut Grove was the talk of the town many years ago with theater, galleries and the art scene. It's amazing for us to call the area our neighborhood, so we decided to showcase the collection in Coconut Grove," said Espinosa Tcherassi, adding that the location serves as a tribute to the roots of the brand – Tcherassi opened its first American boutique in the neighborhood more than 25 years ago – and influenced the luxurious and transitional bohemian momentum of the range.

"Mosaics and the bohemian spirit - here in Miami, every woman likes to dress up, but the feeling is more casual in Coconut Grove,” Tcherassi said of the collection's flowing silhouettes, lively palette and new handcrafted belts.

The stylish ready-to-wear range continued this idea through new interpretations of cutouts strategic emblematic of the brand and bare shoulders, volumes and play of colors and prints, through new monochromatic faded flowing dresses; “blurred television screen” painterly electrical and wave-like digital prints; mosaic floral patterns and artful new interpretations of the signature tie-dye on feminine dresses and separates that tie day to night.

"We have also decided to feature more couture pieces from the collection as we believe it is time to celebrate our culture. A majority will only be offered directly because they are fundamentally one of a kind and each one is so different, so they will be offered to order for special customers,” Espinosa Tcherassi said of the 14 d 'before fall' specialized studio outfits, which ranged from an eye-catching gold fringe dress lined with lace and a voluminous high-low skirted tartan taffeta ensemble to a myriad of embroidered shimmering sequins and dresses in lace.
