Sunday with Sean Paul: "I hitchhike or pay a canoe guy to take me to Lime Cay"

Sunday breakfast? Normally I sleep, so I'm not a big breakfast. I could have mid-morning dim sum with the family, or maybe some fruit.

Next? We'll laze around until around noon, then my wife takes the kids to visit her parents, so the rest of Sunday is just me. It's a good thing. I'll relax, listen to music, take time to connect with my mom.

Sunday music? I built a recording studio in the basement during the pandemic. How many hours a day am I here? A lot.

Sunday gardening? In the back we do hot peppers, sweet peppers, lettuce, bok choy and recently sorrel for a Middle Eastern drink we have here at Christmas. You boil flowers with ginger and sweetener and you get this red drink.

Activities? If I go out, it's usually to the beach. I live in Kingston, Jamaica, and there's a great place called Hellshire Beach that serves amazing fried fish and lobsters. Or Lime Cay, accessible only by boat. I hitchhike or pay a canoe to take me. There are a lot of parties. My dream is to do a show there one day.

Housework? I'm pretty bad. Sometimes I leave things lying around and I'm like, "Pick it up, please!" My biggest job is helping the kids clean up their messes.

What's for dinner? My specialty is steamed fish with ginger and green onions. It's really easy to make, or sometimes I order it at the restaurant.

Sunday night? My wife and kids will be back and there will be a lot of stories: "Dad, it happened" and "Dad, guess what?" I read to my son; my wife reads to my daughter. The next day is Monday, so everyone's kinda like, "Waaaa - I don't want to go to bed!"

Last thing before bed? Red wine. And smoke!
