The Sheffield rock band finished in second place with over 100,000 chart sales in seven days for The Car.
That would have been enough sales to reach number one in a normal week when it there was no competition from Swift.
The American singer more than doubled her best-selling albums from the previous opening week, which she performed in 2014 for her 1989 album.
