They should be paid much more than IMO Software Engineers given the importance of their work. Yes, I know it's a pipe dream, because of supply and demand. "Have you seen how much big tech makes?".

Every time my mind wanders and lands on a hands-on engineering video, I'm amazed at how complex real-world systems are put together. Hats off to whoever builds these systems so we pampered folks can complain about RTO vs WFH and Rust vs Go.
