The Post Office's Travel Money City Cost Barometer compared tourism costs in 20 designated European cities as the top picks by Brits planning a city break, with Athens claiming top spot ahead of Lisbon (second) and Poland's Krakow (third). The most expensive city in the ranking is Amsterdam.
This is the first time in the barometer's 15-year history that a city in Europe has the west beats an eastern city European city in first place.
