'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Adds Former 'Beverly Hills' Cast Member Taylor Armstrong

Taylor Armstrong, original cast member of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," is joining the next season of the "Orange County" version of the franchise, though she's not a full member of the distribution. Armstrong — according to People magazine — lives in Orange County with her husband John Bluher and daughter, Kennedy, now 16.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" premiered on Bravo in March 2006, and Armstrong is the first cast member of "Housewives" to cross over from one series to the next.

Armstrong appeared in the first three seasons of "Beverly Hills" and has been seen there ever since as a guest star, never leaving the Bravo verse. Lately, she starred in the recently completed season 2 of "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip", as a member of the "Ex-Wives Club".

Armstrong's move to "Beverly Hills" came during a calamitous time in his life. In August 2011, two weeks before the premiere of the show's second season, her husband Russell Armstrong, was said to be because of what he had.

Just before his death, Armstrong had filed for divorce, citing verbal and physical abuse. During the show's first season, she had been open about the problems in her marriage and Russell Armstrong appeared on camera with her, still looking miserable. Prior to his death, Armstrong had stopped speaking on camera about being abused, but has since campaigned for survivors of domestic violence.

"Orange County" is set to begin production on its 17th season this summer. Quotable Judge Tamra, who starred in seasons 3 through 14 of the show, was recently brought back to the hit series "Real Housewives." And Dr. Jennifer Armstrong and Noella Bergener, who were added for Season 16, proved, as Bravo fans say, unique.
