The winners of Weather Photographer of the Year for 2022 have been announced, featuring stunning images from brutal storms and cascading frozen waterfalls taking top prizes.

From a shortlist of 22 images chosen from entries representing 119 countries, " Storm Eunice" by Christopher Ison has been selected as the overall winner of the prestigious Royal Meteorological Society competition.

Photography led a celebration of talented photographers from all ages from around the world, capturing weather and climate in their most vivid forms.

Ison's spectacular photograph was taken in Newhaven, East Sussex in February as Storm Eunice hit the UK.
