Thuram occupies the last place of the French team for Qatar 2022

November 15 - Marcus Thuram lost the remaining spot in the France squad in a bid to defend his World Cup name in Qatar at the same time as uncapped Axel Disasi was also called up on Monday after that Presnel Kimpembe had to drag out with injury.

France initially named just 25 players when the squad was introduced last week, leaving one spot open.

Thuram, son of 1998 World Cup winner Lilian Thuram, will complement France's already magnificent attacking force, but training Didier Deschamps will regret any further ills after Paris St Germain defender Kimpembe be excluded

France are already without Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante, depriving Deschamps of their great midfielders from the 2018 World Cup.

The defending champions fly to Qatar on Wednesday before kicking off their campaign against Australia on November 22.
