Vladimir Putin yesterday issued new veiled threats against the world, saying that all international infrastructure was at risk of terrorist attacks.

Speaking at Russian Energy Week on Wednesday, he called the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline a terrorist act that set "the most dangerous precedent".

The explosion was widely blamed on sabotage, with Russia being the main culprit.

The tyrant told the Moscow forum: "This shows that any critically important object of transport, energy or utility infrastructure is under threat."

He added that ownership or location of the resources didn't matter.

The Nord Stream gas link to Germany is now down after a leak last month that Russia and the West blamed on sabotage, without identifying who was behind it.
