Vladimir Putin aims to 'drown Ukraine in blood,' President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned.

He insisted that the Russian tyrant didn't care if he killed his own people besides the Ukrainians.

Speaking to BILD TV in Germany, Zelensky said "He wants to drown Ukraine in blood, including the blood of his own soldiers,

His remarks came shortly after Putin announced a partial military mobilization.

It will be made up of 300,000 reservists who will be called up to help the Russian president in his war in Ukraine.

The decision upset the wives and mothers of the soldiers involved.

He also claimed his words were "not a bluff" and warned that Russia would use weapons of mass destruction if threatened, raising the stakes for a possible nuclear conflict.
