"They don't belong here! This is our house, not theirs!" But maybe...this is their house after all? ! We are the invaders. What do you do if you have mice in your apartment? Is there a safe and humane way to get them out? This horror short attempts to answer that question, with fatal results. This Is Our Home is a horror short film written and directed by Georgia-based filmmaker A.K. Espada, who makes movies and more. When a bleeding-heart vegan and her pragmatic roommate's rodent infestation escalate, they find themselves at odds over inhumane but effective methods of disposal. "We are so thrilled to share this chilling short film that comes from the bottom of our hearts and the depths of our souls." With Mor Cohen and Ruba Thérèse Mansouri. After a festival, the short is now online for viewing and made its Halloween debut by our friends at Short of the Week. It's only scary if you hate mice! Cute little fuzz.

Thanks to Short of the Week for the advice on this one which is making its online debut after premiering at numerous festivals. Brief summary via YouTube: "When their rodent infestation escalates, a bleeding-heart vegan and her no-nonsense roommate find themselves at odds over cruel yet effective pest-killing methods." This Is Our Home is both written and directed by Georgia-based Puerto Rican filmmaker A.K. Espada – you can see more of her work on her official website or follow her on IG @akespada. She is also a puppeteer and designer. It is produced by Anthony Nicolau. With cinematography by Alexandra Bock. The screenplay for the feature film This Is Our Home has been shortlisted for a Sundance Screenwriting Intensive + a Sundance Horror Fellowship, awarded by K Period Media.
