Watch: Entrancing Animated Music Video Short 'RIP TXL' Set in Berlin

“A dream within a dream…” Yet another captivating clip to enjoy. This video is for the electronic track "RIP TXL" by DJ Piper - the title refers to Berlin's old airport called Tegel (airport code was "TXL") which closed at the end of 2020 after the brand new BER Brandenburg airport opened to replace it. This clip is directed by a very talented animator from Hamburg named Raman Djafari - he also directed the funky clip "Pamphlets" which we also featured a few years ago. The video short "RIP TXL" tells the story of five friends who grow up in Berlin Spandau and who experience the surrealism of adolescence with all its magic, emotions and adventures. This was also shown at the 2023 Annecy Animation Film Festival in the short film competition section last month. This has a very distinct stop-motion style to it, although it's all 3D done on the computer.
