Watch Rishi Sunak face Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday, June 14, amid tensions with Boris Johnson over his resignation honors list.

< p>Last Friday (June 9) Downing Street published the honors list of the former Prime Minister, without the names of allies such as Nadine Dorries and Nigel Adams.

The Prime Minister accused his predecessor and former boss of wanting him to ignore the recommendations of the House of Lords Appointments Committee (Holac).

Mr. Sunak said Mr Johnson had asked him "either to reverse the decision of the Holac committee or to make promises to people", which he "wasn't ready to do".< /p>

In response, Mr. Johnson said that Mr. Sunak was talking about "garbage".

"To honor these peerages, it was not necessary to cancel Holac - just to ask them to renew their verification, which was just a mere formality,” he added.

The PMQs also come as the Prime Minister approaches two by-elections.

< p>Hours after the row broke out over the honors roll, Mr Johnson dramatically announced his resignation as an MP after receiving a copy of the Privileges Committee report stating whether he had misled the Parliament in error over Partygate.

Loyalists Ms. Dorries and Mr. Adams have also said they are stepping down as MPs.

The Tories will give notice for the contest in the constituencies of Mr Johnson and Mr Adams on Wednesday.

Ms Dorries is reportedly yet to formally resign as an MP and call a by-election in her constituency.
