What did Boris Johnson know about Chris Pincher? Damning timeline of allegations

Boris Johnson is urged to come clean about what he knew during the latest Tory sex scandal as Chris Pincher faced multiple claims.

The Tory – who resigned as Deputy Chief Whip after claiming he groped two men last Wednesday – allegedly made unwanted passes to two Tory MPs in 2017 and 2018, after his first resignation as Whip .

A Tory MP also claimed he was groped twice by Mr Pincher, first in December 2021 and again last month.

Downing Street and various Tory ministers have insisted Boris Johnson was not aware of any 'specific' allegations when he appointed Mr Pincher's Deputy Chief Whip in February.

And the Prime Minister tried to keep it on the Tory Whip for around 24 hours before it was suspended on Friday night, following a complaint to Parliament's Independent Grievance Mechanism.

But former No 10 adviser Dominic Cummings has alleged that Mr Johnson called Mr Pincher ‘a Pincher by name, by nature’ long before the cabinet reshuffle.

One report even claimed that Mr Johnson had told his aides that he had the 'backing of all sex parasites' in the Conservative Party for his successful 2019 leadership bid.

Now No10 has admitted the Prime Minister is aware of 'media reports others have seen over the years and some allegations which have either been resolved or have not resulted in a formal complaint' .

Three Cabinet sources have admitted there is anger among ministers at having to defend the way Downing Street has defended the groping scandal.
