What did Walter's Morse code message to Misty mean in episode 7 of season 2 of The Yellowjackets?

Let's all take a minute to appreciate how enjoyable this is before we dig into how this might relate to the miserable times ahead for our characters, shall we? It's become increasingly clear this season that, despite her erratic behavior and her difficulty in showing her care appropriately, Misty truly craves human connection. She worries about going too deep with Walter because she's already lost people in ways she considers her own fault, like when Kristen (Nuha Jes Izman) fell off a cliff after their truth session went wrong. As crazy as this moment is, it's one of many unorthodox but sweet scenes between Misty and Walter this season, and it's fun to see her feel so loved for once.

That being said, the scene is also clearly a figment of Misty's imagination. Caligula tells her not to feel bad about killing people ("You're not a murderer, Misty, you're a closer," Mitchell says approvingly through her bird's beak), and the whole sequence positions her as the audience of one for a special. Misty's mind creatively satisfies her own needs, imagining she can be absolved of wrongdoing, be the center of attention, and bask in simple, pure love. This is a far cry from Walter's actual confession, when he tells her that she reminds him of his murderous grandmother.
