When you rent an Airbnb, you are obviously staying on someone else's private property. And these owners all have different ideas on how to run their DIY hotel, and many of them love security cameras and other recording devices. On the one hand, it makes perfect sense: landlords fear that the hikes they rent will destroy the place or commit crimes on their property. On the other hand, it's quite scary, especially when the recording equipment is hidden and you're not aware of it.
