Who should return to "The White Lotus"?

A naive reporter once wrote on this same website that Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) was the connective tissue between seasons of 'The White Lotus', that she was unlikely to be killed off on the show Mike White's HBO because it tied it all together.

That reporter was wrong.

With Tanya out of the picture, there's an unofficial opening for a new White Lotus loyalist to return to the station in the already-announced Season 3 for all-new mind-blowing encounters, fashion, and likely multiple deaths . Creator Mike White has previously said he views Season 3 as "a fun, satirical look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality," but hasn't yet indicated which existing characters might take this journey.

Anyone or anyone could make a return, but here's who we think are most likely to return to White Lotus Resorts - and why we want to see them in Season 3.

Daphne (Meghann Fahy) and Cameron (Theo James)

Not only did White explicitly say he wanted to explore religious traditions in Asia, but he also asked the main four from Season 2 to toast to taking another trip together. "Next year, the Maldives!" Daphne exclaims happily. Suffice it to say, these four should no longer be on trips together, but Meghann Fahy in the Maldives is hard to beat.

Actually, what if Daphne ditched the dead weight (unresponsive, sorry) and went on a solo trip? Maybe she's bringing her kids and her "personal trainer," or finally making a friend and going on a girls' trip (the friend, ideally, is played by Aisha Dee).

Ethan (Will Sharpe) and Harper (Aubrey Plaza)

The only reason they aren't included with Daphne and Cameron is because Ethan and Harper might need some alone time. "I think there's more to me in this relationship," Sharpe told IndieWire after the finale. “There are still questions at the end. It's a bit cathartic to a certain extent, but there's still some mystery, and I feel like they'll still have to talk once they get home."

Why not speak at a White Lotus resort? It won't be deeply triggering, will it?
