Why Daniel Radcliffe Stars In So Many Weird Movies
When asked what exactly inspired Radcliffe to play a role with both feet, he explained that it was just about having a good idea and making the most of it:
“There are no specific criteria. If a script has a really good premise, that will obviously make me sit up. The movies I chose: they have that premise and then they explore it completely . It's something that will always hook me in a script. They don't come around often. It's very hard to do."
The stories the talented performer seems to gravitate to all revolve around a really strange concept: a man who befriends a gassy corpse, a man who can talk to his past, a guy with guns screwed to his hands – and run with that concept as much as they can. Radcliffe likes to go all-in and seems to want movies that require the audience to go all-in as well. It's a Nicolas Cage decision-making and I'm here for it.
Be sure to check out Radcliffe in "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" on Roku on November 4th. It's guaranteed to be weird.
