Wimbledon LIVE: Nick Kyrgios fined after Novak Djokovic loss, Sue Barker tributes pour in

It's hot today; the Met Office said temperatures could reach 30 degrees or more in parts of the UK, with around 28 degrees in the Wimbledon area.

This could mean that the Wimbledon set rule, which is rarely applied, can be used when the men's singles final begins.

The set rule allows for a 10-minute break between the third and fourth sets of best-of-five matches.

Breaks will only be necessary if the Heat Stress Index, which takes into account a number of factors including surface temperature, humidity and air temperature, exceeds 30.1 degrees. The heat stress index is taken via a heat stress monitor, with readings noted 30 minutes before the start of the game and then again at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The rule only applies to singles matches that have not yet started and only one of Djokovic or Kyrgios will need to request the mid-match break for the special measures to be implemented.
