Why H. Jon Benjamin Thinks Bob's Burgers Could Last

In an interview with Little White Lies about the series' feature film, Benjamin spoke about the success and longevity of the acclaimed cartoon that has become a staple of television animation since its debut in 2011. The veteran performer credits the fact that the leadership on the show has remained largely intact over the years, although some people have left to create other shows like "The Great North" or "Central Park". He clarified:

"To the credit of Loren [Bouchard], [executive producer] Nora Smith, [producer] Bernard Derriman and the other people running the show, they have remained close and involved throughout the run to write. , and it's out of the ordinary in that I believe we still have most of our original writing staff. There's a lot of turnover, and we're not totally out of it, we're seeing some people who have been on the show for twelve years to make their own show. But overall there's a general continuity."

To date, "Bob's Burgers" has aired nearly 250 episodes, making it one of the longest-running shows in Fox history behind "King of the Hill," "American Dad," "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons." The Belchers certainly have a long way to go until they overtake Homer and the gang in Springfield, but if their show is renewed for a fourteenth season (which seems almost inevitable at this point), then they'll be over the hills. and their impressive 259 episode count (unless Mike Judge can kick off the revival).
