Wish: Chris Pine Joins Disney's Next Animated Film

Another big name has signed on to star in Disney's upcoming animated feature, Wish. This time it's Chris Pine from Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

One Take News reports that the Star Trek star will play a "central role" in the film. Not only that, but the outlet said that, while unconfirmed, Pine is set to sing in the film as well.

"Wish is an all-new story set in the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a quick-witted optimist and deeply caring for her community, turns to the sky in times of need and makes a wish. "Reads the synopsis of the film. "Asha's call is answered by a cosmic force, a small ball of unlimited energy, Star. Together they will face the most formidable of foes to save their community and prove that when the will of a brave human connects with the magic of the stars, wonderful things can happen."

Wish is directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn and stars Ariana DeBose, Alan Tudyk and Chris Pine. The 62nd film in the Disney Animated Canon is set for release on November 22, 2023.
