Woman 'minutes away' from throwing $1 million lottery ticket into BIN
The lucky lottery player left the precious ticket unchecked for a few days; the state lottery organization says more than $228 million in prizes have gone unclaimed

A Missouri woman was 'minutes away' from throwing a million dollar lottery ticket in the trash after it sat in her car for two days.
But the anonymous player luckily decided to check her numbers before throwing away the ticket.
After scanning it, she was amazed to find that she had won the second prize worth $1 million (£866,000).
In a Sept. 9 statement, the Missouri Lottery said, "A Missouri Lottery player was minutes away from tossing a $1 million ticket after it remained in her car for two days.
"Fortunately, she decided to check out the "Millionaire Blowout" Scratchers game she purchased at 7-Eleven, 6197 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis, before doing so."
