A South Korean woman has finally passed her driving test on her 960th attempt, after spending over £11,000 to get her license.

Cha Sa-soon, 69, first attempted the written exam in April 2005 and after failing the first time, she continued to retake it every day, five days a week, for three years - with a total of 780 trials.

Later, she started taking the test only twice a week until she finally passed - before having to take the practice test.

She passed the driving test after 10 tries, which means she passed 960 tests in total before getting her license.

The woman did not give up because she needed the license for her vegetable selling business.

According to reports, she paid close to €12,500 (£11,000) to get her driving licence.
